Hyundai ix20 incorrect fuel composition error
Summary of the thread
A 2018 Hyundai ix20 with a gasoline engine is experiencing issues such as the check engine light turning on and stalling at idle, with an error code indicating 'incorrect fuel composition.' The problem could be due to either fuel contamination or an electrical issue, such as a loose connection. After investigation, it was found that a loose cable on the fuel injector was the cause, and fixing it resolved the issue.

I did fill up a few days before it started. No knocking that I can hear. So you think it's bad fuel and not something electrical?

Yeah, the fuel composition error makes me think it's more likely bad fuel. Though, that error can pop up with electrical issues too, I guess. If it were me, I'd get it checked out at a workshop. Fuel system problems can be a pain.

Thanks for the advice! Turns out a cable on the fuel injector was loose. 95€ later and it's sorted.

Hey, I've got an ix20 as well. Sounds familiar! Did it happen after you filled up recently? Could be fuel contamination. Is the engine knocking at all?
