Hyundai ix20 incorrect fuel composition error

My 2018 Hyundai ix20, gasoline engine, is acting up. Check engine light, stalls at idle, error code says 'incorrect fuel composition'. Mileage is pushing 200k (199395 km exactly). Could a dodgy connection really cause all this?

Hey, I've got an ix20 as well. Sounds familiar! Did it happen after you filled up recently? Could be fuel contamination. Is the engine knocking at all?

I did fill up a few days before it started. No knocking that I can hear. So you think it's bad fuel and not something electrical?

Yeah, the fuel composition error makes me think it's more likely bad fuel. Though, that error can pop up with electrical issues too, I guess. If it were me, I'd get it checked out at a workshop. Fuel system problems can be a pain.

Thanks for the advice! Turns out a cable on the fuel injector was loose. 95€ later and it's sorted.
