Heated windows without function
Fault stored

Hey, real relief to hear from someone who's walked in these shoes before. Sickening, innit, when these mysterious faults pop outta nowhere! Glad to know you sorted it out. Was just wondering, do you remember what it cost you to fix your Hyundai Elantra's heating element? Just trying to gauge what I might be up for. Oh and was there anything else that popped up after the repair? Y’know, with cars, one fault often likes to bring some friends along. Any follow-up problems or nasty surprises after the repair? Thanks a ton! Cheers!
Hey bud, glad I could be of aid. Coming to the cost, the repair did lighten my pocket a bit - around 585.00 € to be precise. It was the windscreen heating element that was the culprit, so most of the cost went into sorting that out. And regarding those 'friends' popping up after the repair, I must say I was lucky in that sense. Post the fix, the whole windscreen heating was sorted. They definitely sorted the functional limitation issue, and so far, it's been running without a hitch. Sometimes it's the trip to the mechanic that sorts things out, despite the initial hesitation, eh? Stay safe on the roads! Cheers!
You're a lifesaver, bud! That price does make me wince a bit, but knowing that there were no unwelcome surprises afterward is a big relief! And you're right, as much as I hate the idea, looks like another trip to the mechanic is on the cards for me then. It's just one of those things, isn't it? You either bite the bullet straight away or let it gnaw at you till it gets worse. Time to roll up my sleeves then and tackle this head-on. Anyways, thanks a ton for all your advice and taking the time to reply. Stay safe and keep 'em engines purring! Cheers!
Hey! I had a similar issue with my 2012 Hyundai Elantra. That thing was just refusing to heat up my windshield no matter what. Just like you, I pulled my hair out trying DIY fixes. Then finally bit the bullet and took it to the garage. The bloke there ran some tests and found out my windshield heating element was acting up. Wasn't due to a slight glitch, it was a pretty serious defect. They had to replace it. It wasn't a breeze, took them a better part of the day to sort it out. To avoid extra hassle, they had to completely remove the windshield. Seems it was the only way they could access the damaged heating element. I know you're a bit skeptical about taking your car to a mechanic after your last run-in, but sometimes you can't avoid it. Plus, unless you've got the experience, leaving it could make the issue worse. Best to get it to a pro who knows what they're doing. Remember, safety first. Cheers!
