Hyundai Venue 2022 Owner Seeks Solutions for Active Central Fault Memory Lock Warning

Hey! I've got a 2022 Hyundai Venue, petrol engine, clocked around 57,507 KM. I'm having a bit of a worry since my Central fault memory lock active warning has popped up. Had a not-so-great experience with a mechanic on my last visit. Anyone else had this issue and figured it out? What was your experience with your mechanic like? Would love to hear your thoughts.

Hey! I get your problem. I drive a 2019 Hyundai Kona by the way, not exactly your model but so close. I faced a similar issue around the 60K KM mark. My central fault memory lock active warning also showed up, and boy, it nearly gave me a heart attack! Took it to my regular garage where they diagnosed it to be a faulty Body Control Module (BCM). Yep, sounds major and quite serious indeed but relax, it's not the end of the world. The mechanic had to reset the system first. When that didn't work, they replaced the BCM. Post replacement, the vehicle was back to normal, no problems since then. If your issue is similar, don't panic. Just get it checked out as soon as possible. Mechanic experience was top-notch, due credit to my guy. Good luck with your Venue!

Hey there! I’m also a Venue owner, and I'm having the same issue. I was curious how much you had to cough up for that BCM replacement? And has anything else related to this issue come up since you've fixed it? Cheers!

Hello again! Glad to hear from a fellow Venue owner! The BCM replacement definitely wasn't a small change from my pocket, I had to shell out 625.00€ for it. Bit of a pinch, but way better than having a permanently bugged-out car, right? Thankfully, after seeing the mechanic and getting the needed work done, my Central fault memory lock active issue was sorted. Since the repair job, my Hyundai's been purring like a kitten, no problems or other issues related to the Central fault memory lock. As long as you've got a good mechanic, you should be back on the road without a worry soon enough! Good luck with your car!

Wow, thanks a bunch for all that information! that's a relief to hear. Paying 625.00€ is a bit of a sting for sure, but, at this point, I guess getting the car back in good condition is the priority. I hope my mechanic experience turns out as positive as yours. I'll get my Venue checked out as soon as possible. Thanks once again! Helped me a ton. Cheers!
