I Pace HVAC System Failure: Sensor Issues Suspected

Thanks for checking. My latest service was just 2 weeks ago and Im at 80245 KM. My climate issues started about 3 days after that service actually. Looking at my paperwork, the error codes are P0531 and P0532. The temperature reading is completely blank now and the climate control panel is unresponsive. No unusual sounds from the unit though. This makes me wonder if the recent service work might have accidentally caused a temperature sensor malfunction or if something got disconnected during the maintenance. Would checking the sensor replacement history in my service records help identify the root cause?

Having dealt with similar climate regulation problems after service work on my I Pace, those error codes (P0531/P0532) specifically point to an A/C refrigerant pressure sensor range issue. Based on the timing after your service, this sounds very familiar to my experience. The blank temperature reading combined with those specific sensor issues suggests the HVAC sensor might have been disturbed during the routine maintenance. When my system failed post-service, it was because a technician accidentally dislodged the pressure sensor connector while accessing nearby components. Service records would definitely help here, but given the identical symptoms and timing, Id recommend having them check: The refrigerant pressure sensor connections, The sensor wiring harness for any damage, The actual refrigerant levels (sometimes these sensors act up when levels are slightly off) In my case, the fix was straightforward, reconnecting the sensor properly and performing a system reset resolved all the climate control problems. The repair cost was minimal since it was covered under post-service warranty. Looking at your specific symptoms, this seems more like a disconnected sensor rather than a failed component, especially since it coincides with recent service work.

The timing of these issues starting right after my service visit does seem too coincidental. These error codes P0531 and P0532 match exactly what youre describing with the refrigerant pressure sensor problems. The climate control being completely unresponsive and showing a blank display really points to sensor issues rather than a major system failure. Ill definitely dig out my service records to check the maintenance history, but based on your experience, it sounds like the first step should be having them inspect those sensor connections. Since the HVAC sensor system was likely accessed during my recent service, they should cover this under their work warranty. Good to know this might just be a connection issue rather than needing a full sensor replacement. Ill get it back to the shop this week and have them specifically check the refrigerant pressure sensor and its wiring. Really appreciate the detailed insight, this will help avoid multiple diagnostic visits trying to track down the climate regulation problem.

I had a similar climate control problem with my 2018 Jaguar I Pace HSE. As someone with moderate experience working on EVs, I initially thought it was a major system failure, but it turned out to be simpler. The sensor diagnostics revealed multiple error codes related to the temperature reading system. After taking it to the workshop, they found a loose cable connection to one of the main climate sensors. The technician explained that these sensor issues are somewhat common in early I Pace models due to the connector design. The repair involved reconnecting and securing the cable properly, followed by a system reset. Total cost was 95€ for diagnostic work and repair. Since then, the climate control has worked flawlessly. To provide more specific advice for your case, could you share: The exact error codes from your diagnostic scan, Whether the temperature display shows any reading at all, If the issue started suddenly or developed gradually, Whether you notice any unusual sounds from the climate control unit These details would help determine if your issue matches what I experienced or if its something different in the sensor system.
