i30 AdBlue Error No Start
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Hyundai i30 diesel is experiencing a no-start condition due to an AdBlue error message indicating an empty tank, despite it being full. The issue is likely caused by a defective AdBlue output from the tank to the dosing unit, which prevents the engine from starting to avoid emissions issues. The solution involves replacing the AdBlue output unit, which has been confirmed by a workshop.

Yes, the service light is on too. Fuel efficiency seems normal, no noticeable change there. If the AdBlue isn't being injected properly, could that cause a no-start condition, even with sufficient fuel?

Correct. The ECU likely detects the lack of DEF injection and prevents starting to avoid emissions issues, even if the fuel system is fine. A defective AdBlue output is the likely culprit. Get it checked.

Thanks for confirming. I suspected as much. Took it to a workshop and they confirmed it. Replacing the AdBlue output unit, costing around 250€. Appreciate the help!

Sounds like a classic case. The DEF (AdBlue) system on those can be finicky. Is the service light also illuminated on the dashboard along with the error message? And have you noticed any changes in fuel efficiency recently?
