Thanks for the reply! Where exactly is the sensor located, and what wiring should I be looking at in particular? I'm not super technical, so any pointers would be great. Is it an easy job to test the wiring?

Honestly, tracing the wiring can be a pain if you're not familiar with it. For me, it turned out to be a defective plug connection. I'd recommend taking it to a workshop. It cost me around 95€, but saved myself a lot of headache. They will most likely find the broken cable or plug connection quickly.

Thanks a lot! That's super helpful. I think I'll take your advice and get it checked out at a workshop. 95€ sounds reasonable to avoid messing something up even worse. Really appreciate the help!

Hey! I had a similar issue with my i30. The symptoms sound almost identical – AC not working, weird temp readings, the whole shebang. Did you happen to check the sensor itself or any of the wiring? That's where my problem ended up being.
