i30 Tire Pressure ABS and Steering Issues
Summary of the thread
The initial problem involved a 2015 Hyundai i30 with a tire pressure warning light, ABS light, and steering issues, including vibration and increased steering effort. A defective tire valve was considered as a potential cause, but it was unlikely to cause all these symptoms. The combination of issues suggested a more serious problem, possibly involving wheel speed sensors or the power steering system. The solution involved replacing the defective tire valve and addressing the tire pressure sensors, resolving the issues.

Thanks for the quick reply. I double-checked the tires, and I can't find any punctures. The pressure seems okay after I inflated tires, but the warning light is still on. If it is a tire valve, could the pressure loss be so gradual that it triggers all those other warnings over time?

While a very slow leak might contribute, the combination of symptoms points to a bigger problem than just a tire valve. The ABS and power steering failing, along with the vibration, suggests a potential issue with the wheel speed sensors or the power steering system itself. I'd strongly advise taking it to a trusted workshop for a proper diagnosis. Continuing to drive like that could be dangerous.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to the workshop, and you were right. The valve in tire was defective, but it also messed up the tire pressure sensors. It cost me 280€, but at least it's fixed!

Those are quite a few issues at once! A faulty tire valve causing all those symptoms seems unlikely, to be honest. Are you sure the tires are inflated correctly, and is there any visible damage, like a nail or puncture? A slow leak could explain the pressure loss and some vibration, but the ABS and power steering issues suggest something more serious.
