Thank you for your swift response. I appreciate your input regarding potential coolant leaks near the air intake. Could you perhaps elaborate on the specific areas where you encountered the leak? Any specific hoses or connections I should pay particular attention to during my inspection?

No worries, happy to help! For me, it was a small crack in one of the hoses going to the coolant reservoir. It was hard to spot at first because it was only leaking when the engine was hot and pressurized. Honestly, if you're not sure, I'd just get it checked out by a workshop. Better safe than sorry with overheating!

I appreciate the advice. I took your suggestion and had the vehicle inspected by a qualified technician. As suspected, the bypass valve error was a consequence of another error. The garage confirmed a slight coolant leak, which was swiftly addressed. Repair costs were negligible, effectively 0€ Thank you once again for your assistance.

Hey there! I've got an i40 too, and overheating can be a pain. A while back, I had some similar stuff happening, though not exactly the same error code. Have you checked for coolant leaks anywhere around the air intake? That can throw things off and trigger all sorts of weird codes.
