Summary of the thread
The 2001 Ford Ikon diesel had a non-functional climate control panel, with errors indicating low heating output and a non-operational AC. I'm not sure about the temperature sensor specifically, but it was some sort of sensor error. Could that cause all these problems with the climate control?

Yes, temperature sensor issues can definitely mess with the whole HVAC system. But if the air conditioning isn't switching on, that sounds more serious. To be honest, with the errors, it sounds like you're on the right track with a connection problem. I'd recommend getting it properly diagnosed at a workshop though.

Thanks for the help. I took it to the shop, and you were right – a faulty connection was the culprit. Cost me 95€ to fix. All good now.

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue on my old Opel Astra. Was the temperature sensor one of the error codes?
