Thanks for the reply! The lights don't really flicker; they just come on and stay on. And no, I haven't noticed any other electrical problems. The garage did mention something about a possible issue with the 'cable or plug connection of the component', but I'm not really sure what that means. Could it be something simple I can check myself?

Okay, if the lights are staying on consistently, it does further suggest a problem with the switch or its wiring harness. When they mentioned 'cable or plug connection of the component,' they were referring to the wiring and connectors that feed power and signals to the light switch. It's possible a connector is loose or corroded, or a wire is damaged. While you could inspect the wiring and connectors yourself, dealing with automotive electrical systems can be tricky. Given the error code and symptoms, and the potential for further complications, taking it to a workshop is probably the best course of action. I expect the repair will be around 95€. They'll be able to properly diagnose and repair any problems with the switch or its associated wiring.

Thanks so much for the advice! I appreciate you explaining that in a way I could understand. I'll take it back to the garage and tell them to focus on the light switch wiring and connectors, and get them to fix it. They quoted me 95€ for the replacement and repair, which seems fair now I know what's up. Cheers!

It sounds like you might have a faulty light switch or a wiring issue. The error code likely points to the switch itself or the circuit connected to it. The light switch controls the headlights, taillights, and sometimes even the dashboard lights. A problem with the switch could cause the symptoms you're describing. Can you tell me if the lights flicker or are they consistently on when they shouldn't be? Also, have you noticed any other electrical issues?
