Ikon rear ventilation flap malfunction
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Ford Ikon diesel is experiencing a rear ventilation flap malfunction, climate control issues, and inadequate AC cooling. The problem might be due to a defective cable or plug connection. Checking the climate control fuses and considering the flap actuator motor as potential causes are suggested. Ultimately, a workshop diagnosis revealed a defective cable connection to the rear ventilation flap, which was repaired for 95€.

Thanks! I haven't heard any unusual noises. I'll check the fuses. Where are they located, and which ones should I check for the climate control system? Is the flap actuator easily accessible?

The fuse box is usually under the dash on the driver's side. The climate control fuse should be labeled; check your owner's manual for the exact location and amperage. The actuator is buried deep and requires dismantling the dashboard. Honestly, without noises, a workshop diagnostic might be best. I went that route when my issue persisted.

I had a similar issue with my Ikon some time ago. Do you hear whirring or clicking behind the dash when starting or adjusting climate settings? If so, it's likely the flap actuator motor. They direct airflow, and failure can cause your symptoms. Have you checked climate control fuses?
