Ikon Wiper Failure

My 2009 Ford Ikon, gasoline engine, with 47886 km is having a wiper switch issue. The windshield wipers are completely non-functional, and there's an error code stored. It seems like a defective cable or plug connection is the likely culprit. Has anyone else encountered this?

I had a similar problem with my Ikon. Windshield wipers suddenly stopped working, and the error memory was throwing codes. First thought was the wiper motor, but that wasn't it. Have you checked the wiring harness thoroughly? Could be a loose connection or a corroded terminal.

Thanks for the tip! When you say 'wiring harness,' are you referring to the entire loom, or a specific section near the wiper motor or switch itself? Any pointers on where to focus my inspection?

I'd start by checking the connections at the wiper switch and the motor itself. Also, trace the wiring in between for any obvious damage. If you're not comfortable with electrical diagnostics, a workshop might be the best bet. I ended up taking mine in to avoid further issues.

Appreciate the advice! Took it to the shop, and you were spot on. Bad connection in the wiring harness. Cost me 95€ to get it sorted. Thanks again!
