Thanks! Sounds similar. Could you elaborate on how you checked the wiring harness? Any specific tools or techniques?

I just visually inspected the wires and the connector for any obvious damage. Honestly, after fiddling with it for an hour, I gave up and took it to the shop. They found a broken wire inside the connector. Best bet is to get it checked by a pro before you mess something up.

Took the Impala to a workshop. It was a defective cable connection, like you said. The repair cost 95€, and it's fixed. Thanks!

I had a similar gremlin with my old Volvo. The car alarm kept going off randomly. Turned out to be a dodgy connection in the door latch. Have you checked the wiring harness that goes into the door? Sometimes they can get pinched or corroded.
