Impala engine stalling

I'm having trouble with my 2010 Chevrolet Impala with a gasoline engine. The check engine light keeps popping on, and the engine occasionally stalls when I'm idling. I've also noticed a drop in power, especially when accelerating. It has 241518 km on the clock. I recently changed the fuel filter, and I'm wondering if I messed something up, maybe with the fuel pressure regulator?

I had a similar issue with my Impala. Have you checked the fuel pressure sensor? Maybe it's giving incorrect readings after you replaced the fuel filter.

It's usually on the fuel rail. While you might be able to visually inspect it, I would recommend taking it to a trusted workshop to have the fuel pressure properly tested. It could be a faulty regulator as well, as you mentioned.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to a local mechanic, and it turned out the fuel pressure regulator was indeed defective. They replaced it for 45€, and the car is running smoothly again.
