Impala headlight low beam issue
Summary of the thread
A 2012 Chevrolet Impala is experiencing issues with the low beam headlights, which are either shining too low or too high, accompanied by an error and warning light. A possible cause could be a fault in the headlight range control, potentially related to a defective servomotor within the headlight unit. It is suggested to have the vehicle checked at a workshop, specifically mentioning the servomotor, to diagnose and resolve the issue.

Adaptive headlight issue, huh? I'm not super familiar with that. What exactly should I be looking for?

Yes. In my case, it turned out to be a defective servomotor inside the headlight unit. The garage quoted me around 1040€ for the repair. It is an expensive repair, so have it checked.

Thanks! I'll take it in to a workshop and mention the servomotor. Hopefully, it's the same issue and I can get it sorted.

I had similar symptoms on my Impala. Sounds like a headlight range control fault. Is it possibly an adaptive headlight issue?
