Impala MOST Bus Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2008 Chevy Impala is experiencing issues with the radio, navigation, and audio systems, attributed to a MOST bus fault. This problem is linked to a defect in a control unit connected to the vehicle's bus network. The suggested solution is to have a specialized shop diagnose and repair the fault, as these systems are complex and require expert handling.

No, not really. Just that it's a defect in a control unit connected to the MOST bus. I don't even know what that means. Does that sound like your Volvo issue?

Yep, sounds about right! They had to trace the fault through all the modules on the bus. It was a pain. Honestly, I wouldn't even try to fix it yourself unless you're an expert. Those bus systems are complicated. I ended up taking it to a specialized shop, and they sorted it out. Not cheap though!

Thanks for the info! Sounds like I'm heading to the shop then. They quoted me about 1000€ for the repair, so I guess that's just what it costs. At least I know what to expect now.

Whoa, that sounds familiar! I had almost the exact same thing happen with my 2012 Volvo S60. No sound, nav was dead. They told me it was something to do with the bus network too! Did they say which module was causing the problem?
