Indicator lights and airbag warning on 2016 Skoda Fabia: looking for advice and experience

Hello everyone! I'm a bit worried about my 2016 Skoda Fabia with gasoline engine, which already has 68000km on the clock. Last time at the mechanic I didn't have a good experience and now something is wrong with the car again. The indicator lights are coming on, both on the speedometer and the airbag warning light. I'm afraid it might be something with the active hood - I've heard something about malfunctions. Have any of you ever had similar problems? How did it go with your mechanic? I would really appreciate any help or experience. Thanks in advance!

Hello, I once had a similar problem with my 2013 Skoda Superb. The indicator lights and the airbag warning light also came on. It actually turned out that there was a problem with the active hood. It was pretty serious because it was jeopardizing safety. It wasn't fun, but after a few visits to the garage it was fixed. I would recommend you get your Skoda checked as soon as possible. Hopefully it's not as serious with you as it was with my car. Good luck!

Hey, thanks for the info. That really sounds like a lot of trouble. I hope it's not that bad for me... Do you happen to remember how much you paid for the repairs on your Superb? And did you have to have anything done afterwards? I'm really worried right now...

Hey, I can put your mind at rest. After my visit to the mechanic, the problem with the active hood was fixed. As for the cost, in my case I had to fork out €260 to repair or replace the spring actuators. Since then, everything has been running perfectly again and nothing has had to be repaired. So don't worry too much, your Fabia is far from finished! Good luck with the mechanic!

Thank you for the reassurance! Of course, 260€ is not a lot, but if everything works again afterwards, then it's definitely worth it. I'll make an appointment with the mechanic tomorrow. Your words have really helped me, thank you! Ciao and have a nice day.
