Infiniti FX Electrical Nightmare: Nav & Warning Lights Issue

Thanks for sharing your experience! Mine's a 2010 FX with 131286 KM on the clock, and these issues started popping up about a week after my latest service. The weird thing is, the warnings seem to come on unusually sometimes all at once, other times they appear one after another. Haven't noticed any connection with weather conditions, but they do seem worse after the car's been sitting overnight. Your corrosion issue definitely sounds similar to what I'm experiencing. I might have my mechanic take a closer look at those connections. The timing is pretty frustrating since I just had it serviced. Hope it's something as straightforward as in your case!

Hey again! Wow, that timing with the service really caught my attention. You know what? After you mentioned that, I remembered something I forgot to tell you about my 2012 EX. I actually had a similar situation where problems started showing up right after a service turned out some connectors weren't properly secured after they did some work under the dash. In my case, when I brought it back to the shop, they found that during the service, they had accidentally disturbed some wiring while changing the cabin filter. Not saying this is definitely what happened to yours, but it might be worth asking your service center to check if anything was accidentally knocked loose during the recent work. The overnight thing you mentioned that's exactly how mine acted too! I bet we're dealing with the same issue here. If I were you, I'd definitely get those connections checked first before diving into more complex Flex-Ray diagnostics. When my mechanic found those corroded connections, they were actually hidden pretty well behind the glove box area. Maybe ask them to specifically look there? Keep us posted on what you find out! These electrical gremlins can be super annoying, but usually there's a pretty simple fix once you track down the source.

Thanks so much for that extra info especially about the cabin filter connection! That's actually super helpful because they did replace my cabin filter during the last service. I'm going to call the service center tomorrow and explain everything, including what happened with your car. It makes total sense now why these issues started right after the service. I'll definitely ask them to check behind the glove box too. Really appreciate you taking the time to share all this you've probably saved me a lot of time and money by pointing me in the right direction. I'll update this thread once I get it sorted out. Thanks again!

Hey there! I've got some experience with similar electrical gremlins. Had a 2012 Infiniti EX with a diesel engine, and I've dealt with my fair share of electrical issues (I'd say I have some experience working on cars). I ran into almost identical symptoms nav system going crazy and warning lights popping up everywhere. Turned out it was just a faulty cable connection near the main wiring harness. My trusted mechanic found a corroded plug that was causing all sorts of communication issues between the systems. The fix wasn't too complicated they cleaned and replaced some connections, and it set me back about 155€. Could you share more details about when these issues started? Does it happen more when it's wet outside or after the car sits for a while? Also, have you noticed any pattern with the warning lights do they come on all at once or one at a time? This info would help pinpoint if you're dealing with the same problem I had. Just want to make sure we're comparing apples to apples here!
