Infotainment and battery problems with Skoda Octavia
Hello everyone,
I have a problem with my Skoda Octavia (year 2020, 51000 km, diesel). The vehicle could not be started in the morning and showed the error message: '12V battery charge level low, please charge by driving'. I then started it using jump start and drove for an hour. During the drive, I noticed that the infotainment system screen was switching itself on and off, always in connection with error messages from the assistance systems.
The curious thing is that the infotainment system switches itself on and off after the vehicle is switched off and locked, which leads to the battery being empty the next morning.
Has anyone of you ever had this problem and maybe knows a solution?
Thanks and regards,
Pascal.

It sounds like there might be an issue with the infotainment system drawing power even when the car is off, which could be draining your battery. Start by checking if there are any software updates available for your infotainment system, as sometimes glitches can be resolved with an update. If the problem persists, it might be worth having a professional inspect the system for any faults or wiring issues. Let me know how it goes or if you have any further questions!
