Insight Emergency Call System Error
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Honda Insight hybrid is experiencing an emergency call system malfunction, indicated by an error message on the speedometer and a warning light. The issue is not due to blown fuses, and diagnostic codes suggest a general malfunction without pinpointing the exact problem. A similar case was resolved by addressing a loose connection at the telematics control module, suggesting that checking and securing connections at this module could be a potential solution.

No recent work on the wiring harness or dashboard. Diagnostic codes point to a general malfunction within the emergency call system, but not the exact location. Where did the other member experience the loose connection?

Turned out to be a dodgy connection at the telematics control module itself. The plug wasn't fully seated, causing intermittent connection drops. He almost paid too much, but it was a quick fix. Check the connections at the module professionally. You'll probably need a workshop to properly diagnose it. High probability of a defective cable or plug connection.

I appreciate the information. I'll have the connections at the telematics control module inspected. The estimated repair cost is around 95€, so it's not too bad.

Sounds familiar! Another member had a similar emergency call system issue. Any recent work on the wiring harness or dashboard? Sometimes a loose connection triggers weird errors. Did you scan for specific diagnostic codes?
