Insignia ABS light and lateral acceleration sensor error
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Vauxhall Insignia owner experienced an intermittent ABS light issue, with a diagnostic scan indicating a lateral acceleration sensor error. The problem was likely due to a defective control unit, a common issue in Vauxhalls. The recommended solution was to have it checked at a workshop, where the control unit was confirmed as the cause and subsequently repaired.

It started happening a couple weeks ago, seems to be getting more frequent. It's got 69137 km on the clock. What could be the cause?

Okay, got it. It's likely a defective control unit causing the sensor fault. See a lot of Vauxhalls with this issue. Best bet is to get it checked at a workshop.

Thanks for the help! Took it to the shop and you were spot on. It was the lateral acceleration sensor control unit. Cost 1000€ to fix, but at least it's sorted now.

Hey! That sounds like a pain. Has it been doing it for long? And how many clicks has it got?
