Insignia antenna malfunction

I am experiencing an issue with my 2011 Vauxhall Insignia (gasoline engine). The vehicle has 151880 km. Symptoms include an error stored in the memory, the unlocking/locking system malfunctioning, and the inability to start the engine without the key in the ignition. Could a defective bumper antenna cable/plug connection be the cause?

Sounds like a weird one! When you say 'error stored in memory,' can you be more specific? Do you have the error code? Also, have you checked the fuse for the radio/antenna system?

I do not have the specific error code currently. Regarding the fuse, is there a particular fuse location I should prioritize checking related to the bumper antenna specifically?

Without the code, it's tough to say for sure, but the symptoms definitely point towards an antenna issue. Honestly, with those electrical gremlins, it might be worth getting it checked by a workshop. Could save you a headache.

Thank you for your input. It seems a visit to the workshop is indeed warranted. The garage confirmed a defective cable connection to the bumper antenna. Repair cost was 95€.
