Insignia Audio System Failure

Thanks for the quick reply! Yeah, the head unit powers on fine, I can see the display and everything. I haven't checked the fuses yet, I'll give that a try. Where would I find the speaker fuse location? Is it like a lightbulb going out or is there anything else to check?

The fuse box should be behind the glove compartment. Check the car's manual for the exact fuse diagram. It's rare for all speakers to blow at once, which is why I'd suspect a fuse or a head unit failure, like if the amplifier stage inside it gave up. It's probably best to take it to a workshop. I ended up doing that myself.

Thanks a lot for your help. I checked the fuses but they all seem fine. Guess I'll have to bite the bullet and take it to a workshop. Turns out the bass speaker was defective, and they quoted 280€ for the repair. Hopefully that'll fix it!

I had something similar with my Insignia. Does the head unit power on at all? If it does, have you checked whether the speaker fuse is intact? It's a long shot, but worth a look. Could also be a dodgy connection to the speakers, but that's harder to diagnose without pulling things apart.
