Insignia Audio System Failure

Thanks, but I've checked the fuses, and they're fine. No static noise either; the system is entirely silent. Does this mean it's a problem with the display unit itself? Maybe a defective component is preventing any audio output? It's frustrating on long drives.

That sounds like what I experienced. The static noise was just a temporary symptom before complete silence. In my case, the display unit was defective and needed replacing. I'd suggest taking it to a certified workshop; they'll probably use diagnostic tools to pinpoint the problem before replacing anything.

Thanks for confirming my suspicions. I'll book an appointment with a service center to diagnose the issue and get it repaired. It's unfortunate if it's the display unit, especially with the repair cost I was quoted, 725€, but at least I know where to focus. Thanks again!

I had a similar problem with my Insignia's sound system. Have you checked the fuses? When mine went, I initially assumed the worst, like a faulty head unit. I then noticed a faint static noise only when the volume was turned all the way up. Anything like that?
