Insignia automatic temperature control malfunction
Summary of the thread
A 2017 Vauxhall Insignia experienced a malfunction with its automatic temperature control, where the air conditioning wouldn't activate, and the interior temperature reading was stuck. The error memory indicated a fault with the interior temperature sensor. The issue was resolved by addressing a defective cable or plug connection to the sensor, restoring the climate control functionality.

Yeah, that's exactly it! The temperature reading seems stuck, and the climate control is basically useless. Do you remember what the fix was? Was it a big job?

For me, it turned out to be a dodgy connection to the sensor. I’d say take it to a workshop. They should be able to sort it out quickly.

Thanks for the advice! Turns out you were spot on. I took it to a workshop, and it was indeed a defective cable/plug connection. They fixed it for 95€, and now the climate control is back to normal! Cheers for the help!

Sounds familiar! I had a similar problem with my Insignia. Is the temperature reading completely off, like stuck on one value?
