Thanks. I'll inspect the cable and plug. Could you explain the temperature fluctuation you mentioned? What range would be abnormal? I want to read the sensor values correctly.

Yeah, I remember that the values were all over the place. After checking everything myself I took it to a local workshop. They also found the cable or plug to be faulty and quoted around 95€ for the repair. I think it's best to leave it to a professional.
