Insignia damping adjustment fault
Summary of the thread
A 2016 Vauxhall Insignia diesel exhibited a damping adjustment fault, indicated by a warning light and a bumpy ride. The suspected cause was a cable or plug issue. A similar issue was resolved by checking the wiring to the suspension components, which often involves loose connections or corroded plugs. The problem was ultimately fixed by addressing a faulty connection at a local shop.

Thanks for the reply. Do you remember which suspension component it was exactly? Was it difficult to get to?

Honestly, I didn't get into the specifics. I just took it to a workshop when the error kept popping up. They sorted it out pretty quick. If you're not comfortable poking around, that's probably your best bet. Could save you some headaches.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice. I took it to a local shop, and it turned out to be a faulty connection, just like you said. Cost me 95€ to fix. All good now!

I had something similar with my Insignia. Not sure what year mine is, but it sounds like the same problem. Check the wiring to the suspension components. It could be a loose connection or corroded plug. The bumpy ride and error light are classic signs.
