Insignia Electronic Parking Brake Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Vauxhall Insignia with 145,776 km has a non-functional electronic parking brake, displaying an error and warning light. The suspected cause is a faulty electric motor in the brake caliper. Another owner with a similar issue confirmed that the electric motor was indeed the problem, which required professional repair. The suggested solution is to have the vehicle checked by a mechanic to address the issue.

Just the parking brake code. Did you sort it yourself, or did you take it to a workshop? What was the final verdict?

I couldn't sort it myself. Eventually, I took it to a mechanic. The electric motor in the brake caliper was indeed faulty, as you suspected. It cost me about 500€ to fix. Get yours checked soon.

That's what I feared. Sounds like I'm going to the workshop. Thanks for confirming my suspicions and sharing your experience! It ended up costing 505€.

Sounds familiar! I had the same issue with my Insignia. Did your car throw any other weird codes, or just the parking brake error?
