No, I haven't had any diagnostics run yet. I was hoping to get some insights here before taking it in. If the high pressure pump is indeed faulty, would that explain all the issues I'm seeing – the stalling, the loss of power, and the check engine light?

It's possible that a faulty high pressure pump could be the culprit, especially with those symptoms. Reduced engine power and stalling definitely point to fuel delivery issues. Could also be car sensors or engine misfire. To be sure though, I would recommend getting it checked out by a professional to pinpoint the problem. It's complex enough that you probably don't want to start replacing parts based on a hunch.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to the workshop, and you were right – they confirmed it was the high pressure pump! The repair cost is going to be around 1510€, unfortunately. At least I know what the problem is now.

Those symptoms sound rough. You mention the high pressure pump – have you had any diagnostics done to confirm that? What error codes is the check engine light throwing?
