Yes, there is a slight reduction in overall power. Could you elaborate on the specific steps you undertook to resolve the issue?

Okay, loss of power seals the deal for me. I'm 99% certain it's that sensor. Truthfully, I didn't do much myself. It got too complex. I'd advise getting it checked at a trusted workshop. Replacing the sensor isn't crazy hard, but you need the right tools (and diagnostic gear to clear the codes afterwards).

Based on your recommendation, I entrusted the vehicle to a qualified mechanic. The diagnostic assessment confirmed that indeed, the exhaust back pressure sensor was defective. The sensor was subsequently replaced at a cost of 245€. The issue has now been resolved. Thank you again for your assistance.

Hey there! I had something similar in my Insignia. That smoke plus the light screams exhaust sensor to me. Specifically, the exhaust back pressure sensor might be faulty. This sensor measures the pressure of the exhaust gases; if it fails, the ECU receives bad data, messing with the fuel/air mixture and causing smoke. Did you notice any loss of power as well?
