Insignia Headlight Range Control Fault

I have a 2014 Vauxhall Insignia with a gasoline engine and the headlight range control system is acting up. I'm getting an error and a warning light. The low beams shine too far down or up, almost randomly. I think it might be the servomotor. Any ideas?

Sounds like a right pain! If your lights are bouncing up and down like a kid on a trampoline, it's screaming auto-leveling issue. Have you checked the headlight switch and control module for any obvious wonkiness?

Could you tell me more about what to look for in the headlight switch and control module? I'm interested in finding possible failures related to the light intensity adjustment or the auto-leveling.

Think of it like this: the control module is the brain, and the servomotor is the muscle. If the 'brain' is sending funky signals, or the 'muscle' is just plain tired, you get wonky lights. Honestly, auto-leveling issues can be a real can of worms. Best bet? A workshop. They have the gear to properly diagnose what's throwing everything off.

I took the Insignia to a workshop, and they confirmed it was a defective servomotor, like I thought. The repair was 1040€, including replacing the servomotor and headlight alignment.
