Insignia Overheating Bypass Valve Error

My 2017 Vauxhall Insignia, gasoline engine, has a bypass valve error and is overheating at 238274 km. Coolant levels are fine, no leaks. Could this be related to the vacuum or exhaust system? Similar experiences?

Summary of the thread

A 2017 Vauxhall Insignia is experiencing a bypass valve error and overheating, despite normal coolant levels and no leaks. The issue might be related to the vacuum or exhaust system. A similar case involved a faulty sensor causing the bypass valve to malfunction, suggesting a diagnostic check at a workshop could identify the problem. The error was a stored one, not cleared after a previous repair, which resulted in no additional repair costs.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Error codes and overheating are never good. Any engine stalling or rough idling? Have you checked the vacuum lines for cracks or leaks? Even a small leak can cause issues.

No stalling or rough idling, but the engine lacks pep. I haven't inspected all vacuum lines. Did your error specifically point to the bypass valve?

The error pointed to the bypass valve, but it was a faulty sensor causing the bypass valve to malfunction and overheat. I'd recommend a diagnostic check at a trusted workshop.

I'll schedule a diagnostic check. The error was a stored error that wasn't cleared after the original repair. The repair cost came to 0€ since it was not a new error. Thanks!
