Insignia Power Window Failure

I'm having a weird issue with my 2012 Vauxhall Insignia (gasoline engine). After replacing the battery, the power windows stopped working. All four of them! I've checked the fuses, and they seem fine. The error memory has an error stored related to window regulator initialization being unsuccessful. Has anyone experienced something similar? I'm at a loss here.

That's quite odd. I had a comparable problem with my old Renault Megane after the battery died. The electric windows went crazy. I am just wondering, have you tried any simple resets or initializations?

Thanks for the reply! What kind of resets do you mean? I've tried holding the window switch up for a few seconds after fully closing, but that didn't do the trick. Is there a special procedure?

Yes, I had the exact same problem. I tried various reset methods, but nothing worked. I'd recommend taking it to a workshop. They have the diagnostic tools to properly initialize the window regulators. It is probably beyond DIY fixes.

Thanks, I was hoping to avoid that, but it seems like the only option. I took it to a local shop and they needed to reprogram the window regulators. Cost me 290€, but at least the windows are working again!
