Thanks! No, I didn't observe any unusual noises prior to the failure. It appears to have ceased functioning without any preceding auditory warnings. Could you please elaborate on the specific nature of the fault in your case, and what you did to address it?

Right, no noise beforehand is a bit different from my situation. Anyway, I didn't attempt any DIY repairs because messing with electrics isn't my strong suit. I just took it straight to a workshop, explained the symptoms, and they confirmed it was the sun blind motor. They replaced it, and it's been fine ever since. I'd recommend getting yours checked out by a professional.

Understood. Thanks for confirming that the symptoms align with a defective motor. Based on your recommendation and the complexity of the system, I shall also proceed by consulting a workshop. I have already received a cost estimate of approximately 330€ for the replacement, which seems reasonable. I appreciate your assistance.

I had a similar problem with my Insignia not long ago! The sun blind was getting stuck which was incredibly annoying. Did you notice any strange noises coming from the motor before it failed? I was getting a sort of clicking sound for a while before mine gave up.
