Insignia rough running and stalling

My 2017 Vauxhall Insignia (gasoline engine) has the check engine light on and runs roughly, even stalling. I'm also noticing jerking during acceleration. The car has 122033 km on it. Could a defective pressure sensor be the problem? I read that the cable or plug connection could be defective.

I had a similar issue with my Insignia. Does the problem occur more frequently in damp weather? It could be a faulty fuel pressure sensor; they can cause all sorts of grief with the fuel system, like a domino effect.

Interesting point! I hadn't considered the weather. Now that you mention it, the rough running seems worse after it rains. Is the fuel pressure sensor difficult to access? Did you resolve the problem yourself, or did you need professional assistance?

Given the weather correlation, I'd bet on the sensor. I'm no mechanic, and without the right tools, I would not attempt it myself. Take it to a workshop. They will diagnose it properly. If it's the sensor, the cost should be bearable.

Thank you for the advice! I took it to a workshop, and you were spot on. It was indeed the fuel pressure sensor, and the cable connection was corroded. They replaced the sensor and cleaned the contacts. The total cost was 95€. The car is running smoothly again!
