I have not tried software enhancements. Where do I find the option to enhance the software?

On my Peugeot, it was buried in the settings menu under 'System' or 'Connectivity'. Honestly, though, it never really fixed the problem permanently. I ended up having to take it to a workshop. They sorted it out pretty quickly.

Thanks. Incorrect pairing with the end device was the cause. Repair cost 45€. I appreciate the advice.

That's odd. I had a similar issue with my old Peugeot 308. The infotainment system went haywire. Have you tried any troubleshooting steps, like resetting the system or checking for software enhancements?
