Inspire alarm system fault
Summary of the thread
A 2000 Honda Inspire experienced an alarm system fault, specifically a siren communication error, despite the fuses being intact. The issue was suspected to be related to wiring or the siren connection. Upon inspection, a corroded connector at the siren was identified as the cause. Replacing the connector resolved the problem, restoring the alarm system's functionality.

Thanks! Where on the wiring harness did you find the issue on your Astra? Was it near the siren, or closer to the control unit?

In my case, it was near the siren. However, given the potential complexity, I'd still advise a workshop visit. They'll be able to properly diagnose and fix the problem.

Thanks! It was indeed a corroded connector at the siren, just like you suspected. The workshop replaced it and all is working as expected. I appreciate the advice!

I had a similar issue with my old Opel Astra. The symptoms were almost identical. Have you checked the wiring harness for any signs of damage or corrosion?
