Inspire Defrost Air Distribution Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2018 Honda Inspire hybrid has a faulty defrost air distribution flap, with an error stored and low heating output. The initial suspicion is a defective cable or plug connection. After checking connections and considering other potential causes like the heater core or climate control module, the issue is confirmed to be a cable problem, which is then repaired.

Connections appear sound. No other issues with the ventilation system. Could the heater core itself be the culprit, or is it more likely related to the climate control module?

Heater core failure is rare on those, isn't it? But since you've checked the obvious stuff, and you suspect wiring, honestly, I'd just take it to a workshop. Could be a pain to diagnose properly otherwise.

Hmm, Inspire, huh? That's a bummer with winter coming. Have you checked the dashboard panel and blower motor connections? Is the ventilation system behaving oddly otherwise?
