Inspire temperature and overheating issues
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Honda Inspire was experiencing incorrect temperature readings, intermittent check engine light, and prolonged engine warm-up times. Potential causes included a restricted cooling grille or thermal management issues. A suggestion was made to check the radiator fan and listen for unusual noises. The problem was resolved by replacing a defective fuse related to the cooling grille and thermal management, which fixed the temperature and overheating issues.

Thanks! I haven't checked the radiator fan, and I haven't heard any weird noises. What was the problem with your car, and how did you fix it? Knowing that will help me understand what to look for and if I should replace anything.

After some research, I took it to a mechanic. There was a partial blockage in the cooling system, maybe scale buildup or debris. It caused inconsistent readings and affected the engine's temperature. I'd recommend a professional check. Better safe than sorry with cooling systems.

I took your advice and went to a workshop. The mechanics found a defective fuse for the cooling grille and thermal management. Replacing it for 52€ fixed everything! Thanks for the advice; it saved me from bigger repairs. Now I can drive without worry!

I drive an Inspire too, and that sounds familiar. I had similar temperature issues and warm-up delays. Eventually, the car started overheating on longer drives. Did you check if the radiator fan kicks in when the engine gets hot? Any strange noises from the engine bay?
