Integra Bluetooth Pairing Issue

Having a weird issue with my 2022 Honda Integra hybrid. It's got about 140,000 km on the clock. Lately, I can't get my smartphone to connect to the car's system. It just refuses to pair. The infotainment system is throwing an error, which I scanned and it's stored in the error memory. I've tried everything - different cables, restarting my phone, deleting and reinstalling the Honda app, even resetting the car's system to factory settings! Nothing seems to work. Any ideas? It's driving me nuts!

Summary of the thread

A 2022 Honda Integra hybrid with 140,000 km is experiencing a Bluetooth pairing issue with a smartphone, resulting in an error stored in the infotainment system's memory. The problem is likely due to a glitch in the head unit's Bluetooth module, possibly triggered by incorrect device pairing. Suggested solutions include checking for software updates or visiting a workshop for a proper diagnosis. Ultimately, the issue was resolved by reflashing the infotainment system, confirming the Bluetooth module glitch.

Sounds like a glitch in the head unit's Bluetooth module. Incorrect pairing with the end device can trigger that. Have you checked for any new software for the infotainment system? Sometimes a firmware refresh can resolve these connectivity issues. When you say error memory, is it a generic error or something specific to the telematics or electrical faults?

Thanks for the quick reply! I did check, and the system says it's running the latest version. As for the error, I scanned it with a generic OBD2 scanner, and it gave me a code related to 'communication error with external device'. I'm not super tech-savvy, so I don't know if that points to a specific module. Should I be looking for something more specific, like a drivetrain issue or electrical fault in the transmission?

Given the generic OBD2 scanner and the error code, it's hard to pinpoint the exact source. The communication error suggests a problem with the electrical system, but it's unlikely to be related to the drivetrain or transmission directly. If you've exhausted the basic troubleshooting steps, the next step should be visiting a workshop, as they have the proper equipment to read any codes or electrical faults and diagnose the issue correctly.

Okay, thanks a lot for the advice! I took it to the shop, and you were right - it was a glitch related to the infotainment system's Bluetooth module due to incorrect device pairing. They reflashed the system. Cost me 45€, but at least it's working again! Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction.
