Integra generator failure
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Honda Integra with 77,000 km is experiencing generator failure, leading to reduced engine power, battery warning light, rough starts, and flickering lights. The issue is likely due to a defective generator causing voltage drops, which can result in engine misfires. Checking battery terminals and grounding points is recommended, but ultimately, replacing the generator is suggested as a solution, as confirmed by a workshop diagnosis.

Thanks for the quick reply! I did check the battery terminals; they seemed okay. Where exactly are the grounding points I should be looking at? Could a faulty generator really cause such a drastic engine misfire?

Yes, a defective generator can absolutely cause engine misfires due to inconsistent voltage. The main grounding points are usually near the engine block and the chassis. Given your symptoms and the error codes, I'd strongly suggest getting it checked by a qualified workshop. I replaced my generator, and it fixed everything.

Appreciate the insights! Looks like I'm heading to the workshop. They confirmed it’s the generator. Repair cost is gonna be around 960€. Hopefully, this fixes everything!

I had similar symptoms with my Integra. Definitely sounds like a generator problem, possibly leading to a voltage drop. Have you checked the battery terminals and the grounding points? Misfires can also happen with low voltage.
