iOn Rear Ventilation Flap Issue

Hi, I'm having a strange issue with my 2013 Peugeot iOn (electric engine) with 247234 km on the clock. The air conditioning no longer cools, and after running system diagnostics, an error related to the rear ventilation flap is stored in the error memory which indicates a malfunction of the climate control unit. I'm suspecting a defective cable or plug connection to the flap actuator. Has anyone experienced something similar? Any ideas before I start tearing things apart?

Hey! I have an iOn too, and your problem sounds familiar! Was it only affecting rear passengers or did the whole climate control go haywire? I remember having wonky air circulation. Let me think…

Thanks for the quick reply! Yes, it seems to affect the whole car, not just the back. The air is not ice-cold anymore. Could you elaborate on how you fixed it, perhaps with a part number or other keywords?

Ah, okay, if it affects the whole car then it's probably the same problem I had. My air con was only blowing warm air. I didn't fix it myself, I'm afraid. Took it straight to the workshop. Is it worth the hassle of messing about with it when a garage will know what to do?

You were spot on! Took it to the shop as you suggested, and they confirmed it was indeed the rear ventilation flap causing the issue. Defective cable. Cost me 95€, including diagnostics and repair. Thanks for the advice, saved me a lot of time!
