Ioniq 5 massage seat failure

Odd issue with my 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5 electric. The driver's seat massage function stopped working entirely. The massage setting cannot be switched on. Fuses appear fine. A diagnostic scan shows an error related to the seat. The car has 185868 km on the clock. Anyone experienced anything similar, and if so, what was the cause?

Summary of the thread

The massage function on a 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5 driver's seat stopped working, with the setting unable to be activated despite fuses being intact. A diagnostic scan revealed an error related to the seat. A possible cause suggested was a faulty cable or plug connection under the seat. It was recommended to have a workshop inspect and potentially repair the issue, as similar problems were resolved by addressing loose connections.

That's a bummer! I have an Ioniq 5, and I had a similar problem with my massage seat. Turned out to be a dodgy connection. Have you checked the cable and plug connection under the seat? Give them a wiggle; might just be a bit loose.

When you mention the cable and plug connection, are they easily accessible, or do I need to remove the seat to get to them properly? I wouldn't want to start yanking things apart unnecessarily without guidance.

On mine, you could access them by sliding the seat all the way forward and tilting it back. You should be able to see the connectors without removing the seat entirely. But honestly, if you've got an error code, it's probably best to let a workshop have a look. Could save you causing more damage. My dealership sorted mine quickly.

I appreciate the advice. I will schedule an appointment with the workshop. They indicated a likely cause might be defective cable or plug connection, estimating around 95€ for the repair. Thanks again for confirming I wasn't completely off track; it's reassuring to have a second opinion before committing to the repair!
