Where do I find the Bluetooth module? Is refreshing the software something I can do myself, or is it a workshop job?

In my Astra, the module was behind the glovebox, but I don't know about your Ioniq. You might be able to refresh the software yourself via USB if you can find it on Hyundai's website, but I would go to the workshop. They can diagnose the error memory and tell you exactly what is wrong.

I went to the workshop. They diagnosed it as incorrect pairing with the end device, cleared the error memory and refreshed the software. Cost me 45€. All sorted!

I had similar problems with my 2016 Opel Astra. Check the car's Bluetooth module, and infotainment system software. Sometimes, there are connectivity issues with some phone brands. Is the software current?
