Ioniq Smartphone Connection Error

My 2019 Hyundai Ioniq hybrid is acting up. The smartphone won't connect, and the error memory has an error stored. I'm thinking it's a pairing issue. Anyone seen this before?

I had similar problems with my 2016 Opel Astra. Check the car's Bluetooth module, and infotainment system software. Sometimes, there are connectivity issues with some phone brands. Is the software current?

Where do I find the Bluetooth module? Is refreshing the software something I can do myself, or is it a workshop job?

In my Astra, the module was behind the glovebox, but I don't know about your Ioniq. You might be able to refresh the software yourself via USB if you can find it on Hyundai's website, but I would go to the workshop. They can diagnose the error memory and tell you exactly what is wrong.

I went to the workshop. They diagnosed it as incorrect pairing with the end device, cleared the error memory and refreshed the software. Cost me 45€. All sorted!
