Ioniq Sunroof Not Initialized Error
Summary of the thread
A 2018 Hyundai Ioniq hybrid displayed a 'Sunroof not initialized' error, causing the sunroof and sunblind to become non-functional. The issue arose after recent coding on the car, which likely corrupted the sunroof system's parameters. The recommended solution was to have the sunroof module reinitialized at a workshop, which successfully resolved the problem.

I did check the fuses, and they seem fine. Could the coding have messed with some setting that controls the sunroof motor or something like that? Is there a specific module I should be looking at?

It's possible the coding has corrupted the sunroof system's parameters. Honestly, without specialized tools, it's hard to diagnose remotely. Best bet is to take it to a workshop; they can probably reinitialize the sunroof module.

You were spot on! Took it to a workshop, and they reinitialized the sunroof module. Apparently, the coding had scrambled some settings. Cost me 75€, but at least it's fixed. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

Coding could definitely be the culprit. Have you tried any basic troubleshooting steps, like checking the sunroof fuse?
