iQ Tire Pressure Warning Light
Summary of the thread
A 2010 Toyota iQ diesel displayed a tire pressure warning light, despite manual checks confirming correct tire pressure. The issue was identified as a problem with the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), likely due to the degradation of sensor batteries over time. All sensors were not reading, which is common after 10+ years. The solution involved replacing all four sensors and air valves, resolving the error.

I haven't had any tire changes recently. It's showing as if all the sensors are not reading. Is it common for all the sensor batteries to fail at pretty much the same time?

Yes, it's not uncommon for the TPMS sensor batteries to degrade around the same time after 10+ years. Given all of them are showing errors, a shop visit is likely in order. They can confirm the sensor status and replace them. It's a fairly standard job.

That's helpful. I took it to a local garage, they confirmed it was the sensor batteries, and they replaced all four sensors and the air valves. Cost me about 280€. The error is now gone.

Sounds like a TPMS issue. Have you recently had your tires changed? Sometimes they can get damaged during the process. It's also possible the batteries in the sensors themselves are getting weak, especially given the age of the car. Are all the sensors showing as not reading or just one?
