Yes, no problem, I can understand everything! Here's how it was for me: after I went to the mechanic, the problem with the headlight leveling system not working properly was resolved fairly quickly. He found out that the height sensor was faulty and this was fixed straight away. The cost for this was €190. And don't worry, after that there were no more surprises, everything was tiptop. Hope that helps you!

Great, thanks for the info! 190 € is less than I feared. I'll take your advice and tell the mechanic about the electrical wiring and the regulator. The main thing is that it's really quiet after the repair. Your experience report has really helped me. Thanks again and I hope I don't have another problem like this soon. But if I do, thanks to you I now know what to look out for. It's good to know that we Skoda drivers stick together!

Hey, I can really relate to this. I drive a 2015 Skoda Superb and had roughly the same story with my headlight last time. It was a different problem, but the indicator was also flashing. The mechanic said it was due to a short circuit in the electrical system that supplies the headlights. They did some more thorough work, but they fixed the fault. Try explaining to your mechanic that you think it might be a problem with the electrical wiring or the headlight controller. Safety issues are always serious, so get it checked as soon as possible.
