IS turn signal lamp error
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Lexus IS hybrid owner experienced a turn signal lamp error, with a fault stored in the error memory and an error message on the speedometer. The issue was suspected to be due to a defective cable or plug connection. Another owner with a similar model suggested that a corroded connector could be the cause, based on their past experience. Upon professional inspection, it was confirmed that the cable or plug connection was indeed defective, and after repair, the issue was resolved.

Thanks for the hint. I checked the connector. It looks okay. Do you remember what exactly the symptoms were in your case? Maybe comparing notes could help me understand if it's the same problem or not.

Yeah, mine was doing all sorts of crazy things - flashing fast, sometimes not at all. Sometimes the dash would say there was a bulb out, sometimes not. I finally took it to the workshop and they traced it to a corroded connector. I'd say, swallow the pill and let a professional inspect it.

Thank you. I appreciate your help. The mechanic found that the cable or plug connection of the component was indeed defective, causing the symptoms. The repair cost was 95€. Everything works as expected now!

Hey there! I have an IS too, and your issue sounds super familiar. I had weird turn signal behavior a while back. The connection to the bulb itself was a bit dodgy. The plastic connector, not the bulb, was the culprit. Is it perhaps that?
