ix35 Air Leak
Summary of the thread
A 2010 Hyundai ix35 owner suspects an air leak due to a check engine light, poor fuel economy, and a hissing noise during acceleration. A suggestion is made to inspect the vacuum hoses near the intake manifold for leaks. The issue is resolved by replacing the intake hose, which fixes the problems.

Where exactly should I look for that? Is it difficult to get to?

Okay, so without seeing your engine I couldn't say for sure, but usually it's best to get it checked at a workshop. I got my intake hose replaced and it set me back about 100€. I am not certain, but this would probably fix your problem too.

Thanks for the advice! It was the intake hose. Replaced it, and all problems are solved.

Hello! That sounds familiar. I had something similar with my ix35. Have you checked the vacuum hoses near the intake manifold? Could be a leak there, causing all sorts of problems with the air intake.
