ix35 Automatic Temperature Control Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Hyundai ix35 experienced a failure in the automatic temperature control system, with diagnostics indicating an error and the AC not engaging. The issue was suspected to be related to a faulty cable or plug connected to the interior temperature sensor. Erratic temperature readings prior to the failure suggested a defective HVAC sensor. The problem was resolved by replacing the interior temperature sensor, costing 95€.

Yes, the temperature readings were unstable before it failed. They jumped around and were inaccurate, then the system quit. What was your issue and how did you fix it?

Mine acted the same. I'd get the sensor checked at a workshop. Sounds like a faulty HVAC sensor, and a professional should sort it.

Thanks. I had it checked, and it was a defective interior temperature sensor. The repair was 95€, and replacing the sensor fixed it.

I have a Hyundai ix35 and had similar climate control problems. Were the temperature readings erratic before it failed?
